abhyāsa vairāgyabhyāṁ tannirodhaḥ || I.12 ||

“with practice (Abhyasa) and non-attachment, non-dependence, comes the sensation of the fluctuation of the mind”

In this sutra, Patanjali, declared the basic pillars of Ashtanga yoga centuries ago, for the achievement of piece and therefore are happiness as human beings. Abhyasa is an intent, continuous, unswerving research (practice on all levels) to confront recurring failures.

Under the guidance of Dimitris, in Abhyasa Ashtanga Shala the traditional system of Ashtanga yoga is taught, exactly as it has come down to us until today from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Morose, South India.

By providing the series of asanas of the system along with philosophy lessons, the ground is prepared for the real purpose of yoga to flourish, which is no other than considered and independent people, whose real teacher is the actual practice, thus the practitioner himself.
